i don't know when this started...
it started when i moved to my new place in PA...if that makes any sense...
but when its cold and i start it...the rpms climb sooo slow and it stumbles and it misses and its a mess and after ten seconds it evens out and is fine. anyone know what the problem can be? i cleaned the cold start injector a while ago...what else causes this...
i'll try to post a video up once i get a video editing program.

We are getting into FALL weather. Its not hot, nor cold. The cold start injector won't work until the engine temp gets down to like 50*.

I recommend putting some Techron fuel treatment into your tank, (2 tanks full) which will help clean the injectors and valves. Either of which, if dirty, will cause your symptoms.

When the temps start getting colder, it will probably start fine.

What happens is this...
Carbon build up on the intake valves will act like a sponge upon startup. It soaks up some of the fuel, and causes a bit of a lean condition, until the engine runs for a few minutes, and the carbon gets saturated.:icon_bigg

I got the same problem! I cleaned the cold start injector and checked the cold start timing switch etc...

One thing I did find was that it started up fine when I just charged my battery and put in the car. My battery is dead 1/2 the time because i don't drive it. The car would only start on like the 2nd try. I would have to put the key in crank for 3 seconds and then release, then crank again and it would start then stumble and miss horribly like you've mentioned and then be all fine after 10 seconds or so.

Maybe my problem is different then all yours but make sure your battery is strong and pumps out good amps to crank that engine well.

Mine did that, would run fine, but youd have to reallllly baby it for a few miles.

Coolant was getting into the CC... my headgasket was seeping coolant after shutdown.

My car does something similar...I have to crank for about three seconds, and it will idle really low, like at 400, then slowly rise to about 1200-1500 RPMS, and it seems to idle and run fine after that, I cleaned my CSI, replaced the Time switch and evrything...

EFI water temp sensor.

The green one behind the power steering resevoir, if turbo.

Will cause a shitty cold start if it is not working OR the wires to it have broken off.
