That fitting you are talking about, is that the nut at the bottom. Cause there is another place for a wrench right above that.

Just let the fuel flow. After all the fuel in the lines flow out, it will stop flowing. Just make sure your not smoking or flaming around it... :evil5:

yea there are a total of 3 bolts or nuts... one to unhook the gas line to the csi which is needed to remove the injector then there are 2 bolts or nuts i dont remember what they were that hold the actual injector in place... once u get them out u have to play with it to slid it out.. dont worry about that fuel it only has fuel from the csi to the fuel rail so its not much... once its out clean it good.. hook up some power to it as well to push cleaning solution threw it

the manual says to replace the copper gasket on the fuel line after removing it mine looked fine so i didnt replace it and havent had any leaks

When I did mine, I removed the fuel line from the rail first... But I've been in and around the fuel rail many times, so I may have removed some brackets that made it possible to remove the csi and line together. You might see if you can install it like that though, that way you can make damn sur eyou get a good seal to the actual injector.
