http://www.tein.com/products/basic.html....are those the HA's? if they are SS is def. more expensive

your link doesn't work...

apparently I havn't been staying up to date on my tein info (mostly because I'm not a fan of tein)...HA's aren't even made anymore.

What is everyone calling the HA's? It seems as though you are saying the basic's are the HA? That is far from it. The basics are just that, basic. Bottom of the barrell. I'd rather run megan.

The HA WAS the ultimate spec circuit master super racing...from what I can tell (I base that off nothing except the hierorachy, so i may be wrong).

To follow up ALL the posts on suspension I have made recently...

If you notice I have not made any suggestions for off the shelf coilovers. That's because I can not say any are really good dampers. The only off the shelf coilovers I would recommend would be JIC FLT-A2 and tanabe sustec pro-7 (for s-chassis Stance is by far best bang for the buck). And coincidentally these are the dampers I have the least personal experience with, I just know a lot of experienced people that tell me they are good (not just internet hearsay). If you want a good suspension, you have to pay up. Just like you wouldn't throw a junkyard turbo and expect stellar results.

That being said. If all you want is less body roll, a lowered stance, and generally better handling, these off the shelf units are not too shabby. Than the only thing I would be concerned with is how long they last, price, and most importantly customer service. How easy/cheap is it to get replacement dampers if yours do blow?

I have a team mate that runs the megan coils on the s-chassis...and actually a lot of drifters do. The ride is shit, and if they wanted better overall grip they would go elsewhere...but in drifting it's not all that important and the things are well made, it's just the R&D to properly valve the dampers is not done.

the reason i ask if anyone is riding ksport is because i just ordered a set and wanted to ask some details on the setup with the camber plate, ride height and weight distribution.

If it does have a camber plate (I don't believe it will) it won't do anything due to us having double a-arm suspension

ask your ride height/weight distribution question if you want...i'll be glad to help

when i talked to ksport they did say there was a front camber plate, but these days you know people will say anything to sell their products so i wouldnt be surprised if there isnt.

Like you say with the double wishbone, i really didnt think there would be much notice in - or + camber if any with a camber plate .I just thought id ask lol.
but when my ksport come ...if they ever since its been a month, ill be sure ask you about setting ride height and other chassis tuning questions ..if any since the double wishbone in my opinion owns and was pretty much designed for flawless handling .

wuts a pillow mount?

They are called pillowball upper mounts...they are the top part of your spring/strut combo that mount to the vehicle.

They are supposed to give you better steering responce over the OEM rubber ones as the aftermarket ones are solid aluminum.

so i got my k sports today and no camber plate like you said and i thought the same but oh well.

so 2 springs say 13-180 guessing those are the front and the other says 11-180.. how do i go about setting ride height and getting my coilovers set up to a good default setting where later i can tune where i like them ????

Just preload the springs to their recommended specs to make sure your spring doesnt clank around in there. Lock the top collars and adjust the bottom one to where you think you will want the ride height. Once installed, chances are you will ant to adjust more, so loosen the bottom collar and rotate the shock body in the direction to either raise or lower the car. Once you have desired ride height, lock the bottom collar down nice and tight and youre set. Take measurements and set the opposite side with these measurements. Set the dampener to your desired firmness.

I am using one of the best coil over setups.
Tien RAs they are the most agressive set tien made for our cars.
They come with pillow mounts and are fully adjustable.
The other good thing to mention about them is they are cheap and easy to rebuild even with customizable valves through Tien.

One other thing the come with a set of helper springs so if you land hard or hit little bumps even though they are agressive they smooth things out.

i got the front and rear on one side on yesterday befor i ran out of day light.
I still have to ajust the front some more due to the fact its to low and when I turn the wheel it hits the fender. also i had my buddy helping me yesterday and while he was getting drunk brought up somthing i wasnt to sure about but he said that you have to unload the bushing because lowering the car without doing so could cause them to fail? I know the upper contorl arms your suposed to torque when the wheight of the vehicle on them. but hes saying ball joints and lower controll arm bushings as well .. is he full of shit or what?
