code 71

I just finished my rebuild a few weeks ago. I removed the EGR during the process and now I have this code 71. What does everyone else who removed the EGR do about the check engine light?

u know, my never came on. i have an 87, maybe it wasn't issue on earlier mk3s. or do u have a california car? or maybe mine is just a p.o.s.

It is a Cali car.

Put a 10k ohm resistor in the connector.
I think that's the correct rating. I'll look it up...
