what might the part numbers be?

does anyone know what resistance the sensor has when egr is flowing through it? i am gonna try and locate an ecu have a few hits in the fs section right now just waiting on some cash do so. So i think the resistor might be worth a shot also, aint gonna hurt nothin at this point.

Trust me, it doesn't even have to be federal. And you must live outside the Denver-Boulder region....there Colorado has much tougher emissions testing than California.

Search for the resistor value. Been covered before...

I live in co springs so its not an issue.

I searched the tsrm for the temp sensor testing:

http://cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?Section=FI&P=118

I am very new to all the tuning and adjusting what nots, and not sure on what temp the ecu would normally read so should i just shoot somewhere between 11.8 k ohms and 2.5 k ohms?

And as stated the prior the egr is in op at wot, with the ecu reading a constant resistance all the time it wont cause any interference correct?

so what are my options around this(short or replacing everything)? this is the first time the code has set and the egr has been gone since i bought the car?

If i change the computer to one that does not look for the change would that work with the rest of the engine performance?

ok . .this may sound a little crazy .. but hear me out .. how about an MSII computer .. eliminate everything that you dont need i mean seriously .. what were some of these engineers thinking .. not that a bunch really silly stuff under the hood isnt cool to look at .. but it doesnt make it any faster!!! unless of course its shiney too.....

ok this is not about eliminating anything this is trying to TEMPORARILY fix an issue the po created for me. Yes the egr has a purpose not my intent to take it off was already off!!! I am in progress of hittin salvage yards for the parts i need, not one in my area has a supra more or less anything with a 7mgte or even 7mge. i am only trying to match what the ecu would see if i had the sensor installed until i can get all the removed parts acquired.

At least the guy from Wisconsin admits to being a little nuts...

You can fool it using a set resistance. Iirc 5-10K will do it. As long as the harness is good the code should disappear All the ECU cares about is seeing what it thinks is the exhaust stream when EGR is commanded. That happens under load between slightly above idle to about 4200 rpm.

cool thanks jetjock.

Nuts might be a slight understatement lol.

just wanted to make sure before doing anything that i wasnt to disrupt anything else in the process
