How are you checking codes? If you hit the throttle, or have ac compressor on while checking it will set this code. Try clearing code. make sure ac is switched off and do not touch throttle. Check codes. if nothing shows up, test drive and recheck the same way. Test drive with ac off also. If code comes back i would check the tps make sure it is within spec and adjusted properly, per tsrm

About the A/C...I assume you are correctly turning it on and the fuses are not open. You have switches that shut off the compressor under certain conditions. No or low refridgerant is one (the main) condition. It seems like the if VTA and VC have no continuity, the engine will not speed up past a certain point. And you want the IDL contact and E2 for 51. They should be closed when the throttle is closed, open when the throttle is open.

I thinks he doesn't have the probes on the wires. Or did the test with the key on.
