I got a 87 turbo, that has a code 51, this car has no AC. I beleive the adjustment screws were goofed with by the previous owner, and possibly the TPS. The question is, my buddy has a 89 turbo with no codes, what are your thoughts of me replacing his throttlebody with mine? His linkage adjustments, and TPS settings are oem, so his setup must be fine as he has no codes....theory being if I put it on, my code 51 should dissapear...what do you guys think??

Theory seriously flawed. Read up more on 51. You already answered your own question which is actually kind of confusing me....
