Code 34 (fuel cut)

Alright guys, i just got my new knock sensor put in and i was out test driving my car. i went to floor it and it would only boost to +1 or +2 and cut out at higher rpm. the check engine light came on for a bit and then went off. i got home pulled the code and it threw a 34. At first i thought boost leak so i checked but nothing. my car is pretty much stock. i search some threads and i got code 34 as fuel cut. why would my car be doing this with no mods?

boost leak. check your intercoolerpipes and coupler(s).

yep 34 is turbo charger pressure signal what psi are u running?

it only boosts to a couple pounds. what about 34 meaning fuel cut. i read that in some posts. can it mean a leak and fuel cut

i mean usual psi. 34 in the haynes manual is turbo pressure signal. i guess thats the same as boost leak?

well i just got it running after two years but it used to be around the stock 7psi

last time i checked but thats been awhile, one other thing it takes quite awile to spool. i can also hear it releasing the boost as i floor it like the waist gates stuck open,

if you hear the pressure releasing, you've definately got a boost leak, which will cause the fuel cut code. chances are it's not your wastegate if you threw a code 34...
