Car is '87 1JZ swapped mk3. Throws code 13 a few seconds after rpm drops below 1k rpm to idle. Cranks good, starts good, drives good, idles normal even with the light on. I found 7m and 1j caodes are the same and the TSRM says:

No "NE" signal to ECU when engine speed is above 1k rpm.

areas are Distibuter (cam position sensor circuit, the sensor itself, or ECU)

It is similar to code 12 so i went to IG-3 then to IG-16 i believe n its just checking the sensor. Ive looked an here for help but all i find is how to replace or where to find the sensors. A code 12 thread helped clear some things up but i still dont understand. The light is supposed to come on above 1k but it does the opposite. Any help?? should i be worried?

i apologize but honestly i did post there first. It said the thread had to be reviewed by the moderators/higher ups but it must not have been accepted because someone else was able post after i tried to.

You posted in a SME section - MKIII TCCS (ECU) & Electrical. All posts are moderated (just like the section says) and will not immediately appear. I deleted that post since you made this thread. Pay closer attention and you just might get an answer ;)

ne signal is either cam or crank sensor. you have 2 cam sensors. whoever did your wiring probably crossed a wire. i would trace those with a continuity tester to see where they are running to.
