Thank you

code 13 is for the cam sensors, but it means only 1 circuit is bad if your car is still running ok because the ecu can choose which cam sensor to read, and it knows one is bad, so it's using the other right now. could be the sensor, or the wiring.

smoke at startup that goes away when it warms up is usually valve seals.

speedcut at 190 km/hr? try unplugging m1 or disconnecting the violet wire (speed signal from speedometer).

so running on one cam sensor wont make the car run rich? ya i plan to get a fuel cut defender soon. lol now code 21 is coming up are 02 common on 1j and is there usd sensor i can swap it out with? not go off topic but when i pull the connector from cyclinder coil pack 1 the car sounds fine like its not missing but if i pull it from all the other connectors (2,3,4,5,6) its starts missing like crazy. i tested it in every way is that normal?

thanks

shouldn't be normal, probably want to do a compression test to verify cylinder#1 is ok

i use a mustang o2 sensor ($40 from canadian tire), but it's a screw-in type, same thread as a wideband, and i just replaced it 3 weeks ago, and my code 21 stopped.

compression reads 130 on the mark. i swaped out ignitor 3 for 1 and same deal then i tried swaping the plug and again same thing. i also check for voltage at all ignitor connectors all have just below 14v. any ideas? how can i check for spark?

130 is a little low, usually around 160-175 with stock cams. did you check compression when it was cold? did you do 3 complete revolutions of the engine? did you hold the throttle open when you did it?

might as well check cylinder #2 just to compare

just plug in the coil pack and plug, and ground the spark plug on the engine, and crank it, and observe for spark.

i am gonna test it again today, what would i see if the motor was cold and had the throttle open?

thanks again for the help

lol ok so i was testing for spark came up good i was about to check for compression when i saw a brown wire sticking out of number 1 injector :aigo: . that pretty must fixed it now i know what i 1j is supposed to sound like and move :evil2: . im gonna check to make sure compression is still good in all cyclinders. sry if i wasted anyones time i really appreciate the help.
