Alright I have an exedy clutch kit on my car I war running the car fine the next morning turn the car on and I here chatter coming from my tranny I found out my clutch went out. I notice the because I can feel play in my clutch padel and sometime hard to shift I gonna take it out. I was wandering if anyone put in a 6 puck clutch ACT in a exedy pressure plate is it a good idea. Should check and see my pressure and flywheel or fine or resurface them. By the way the I had the clutch for a long time so yea it was time it gave out.

I i have an exedy clutch in the car now it been for long time. It started to slip on me left it in for awhile. Then on morning I stared up the car and here alot of noise coming from my tranny area. I know it had to be my clutch becuse I can feel from my clutch padel getting soft and hard for me to get into gear. S I was asking did anyone one put in a ACT 6 puck clutch on a Exedy pressure plate or just replace everything new. I know XTD are now good clutch kit but I see another one on ebay. The F1 racing clutch kit are they any good.

i didnt think a clutch disc could just 'go bad' like that...

I would check my clutch MC resevoir to make sure fluid was in it, and then have someone push the clutch pedal w/ me under the car to see if it was actually pushing the clutch fork in.

Noise in the trans area could be quite a few things.

i also have the same problem. i am replacing my clutch and have gotten my hands on a used exeddy pressure plate and a ACT 6 puck clutch disk. is this pressure plate and clutch disk combo suitable or would i be happier with a XTD kit? the car is moderately modified but the oem clutch had never slipped on me.
