Hey all,

Well if you dont know, I have a 7MGTE in my MK2 supra. Well since I switched to a 67mm Turbo on my car, The Clutch Setup that I have on my car cant hold the Power. Im running a Centerforce Dual friction clutch Kit for Probably 5000 miles now. Anyways, I need something that will hold over 500rwhp and not have the chatter affect.

IM NOT ON A R154, Since its a MK2, Im still using the W58 Tranny out of a MK3 so I need a few recommendations on what there might be out on the Market that will hold these Specs in a non-turbo Tranny.

Ive heard RPS but what setup to use im not for sure. Any recommendations would be great.

Can I just Switch out the Pressure plate to a Differenct one and it hold more?

Thanks
Robert

Thats a lot of power to run through the w-58. I personally will be running mine over the 400rwhp range but i stopped there anymore and i would switch trannys. I will personally be running the spec stage 3+(465ft/tq http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/pri.../SPEC/Clutch/Clutch_Kits/part/Import_Stage_3+) There is another spec thats rated higher, the stage 5(http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/price/Toyota/Supra_86-92/SPEC/Clutch/Clutch_Kits/part/Import_Stage_5)
I dont believe theres many more options for the w-58, goodluck

Right now Im using the W58 on my GTE and Im using the Competition Clutch 6 puck ceramic and Ive had zero problems with slippage at all. But the tranny itself isnt liking it too much.

Problem with the MK2s is that you have to do some Modding to get the R154 to Fit ie..... Having a Driveshaft Made, Beating out the Tranny tunnel, Turbo clutch Kit which is Dam Expensive to say the least, and Cutting some of the Shifter tunnel as the Turbo tranny is 2" Longer. I think this is why alot of MK2 7M guys are still running the W58.

Any other Suggestions on a Clutch Upgrade?

Does anyone Know what the Holding Capacity is for the CF Dual Friction clutch that I have?
