If you're only reading 12V at the + stud on the alternator while the car is running, the alternator is DEAD.
as stated by datsrboi, i tested mine already, and am running his, both put the same output at the stud.

I am running a 4ga wire from the alt to the fusebox connector. its not that power isnt getting to the fusebox/battery, power isnt coming out of the alternator at all. im thinking its more along the lines of the wiring isnt activating something inside of the alt.
im going to check the continuity of the alt wires today
