clutch start

anyone dont have to press in the clutch to start there car? I dont have to push in the clutch at all wich i odd cause every other manual car i drive i have to press the clutch in to start it? this isnt normal for supras is it?

nope, you should have to push the clutch in to start the car as far as I know!

We didn't get that "safety feature" here in Australia!

With a stiff aftermarket clutch it's a good way to kill the thrust bearings in the motor!

It is a good way to kill the thrust bearings with a higher clamp clutch. That's why I bypassed mine.

If you look by the pedal there is a switch/sensor, you can rig that up so you can start your car without touching the pedals.

or u pop opent he passenger kick panel and make a jumper for the relay thats what i did for a bit. then decided it was dumb lol

yes many mk4 guys do this to prevent crank walk with heavy pressure plates

just fixed the problem. now i have to depress the clutch to start my car. whats so good about having your car start without pushing the clutch?

Yeah - UK here - the switch does not exist. Never had to depress the clutch to start it.
