Clutch release point?

Ok I just wanna run this by a few people.
At what point does your clutch really grab??
For instance, mine grabs about 2 in. from having the pedal all the way OUT.
Is this about right? one of my buddies says it is, but I wanted to see how everyone elses feels. Its a brand new RPS 6puck Sport clutch, and I dont wanna burn it up. Thanks.

Mine grabs about halfway between the floor, and all the way out

read the TSRM, the specs for freeplay are in there. with that said, mine as well is about 1/2 way out.

I did read the TSRM, the freeplay seems about right, 1in. or so, but it just feels like the clutch grabs really late in the pedal. I dont know if its normal or not. Is there any way to adjust at what point it grabs???

yes, this is how:

No, look up at the clutch pedal and you will see kind of a "fork" around the pedal with a 12 or 10mm nut. Loosen the nut and then rotate the rod that is coming out of the "fork". That is how you adjust the freeplay. Need more freeplay? Shorten the rod.
