Clutch problem

About three days ago, my freeplay in the clutch went down, and the engage point was closer to the floor. Then two days ago it got worse. Then yesterday, I guess the engage point was so far that I could not clutch in far enough. I had to wait about 10 minutes before the car would slip into gear.

I adjusted the freeplay behind the pedal already, but it didn't help. I have been driving the car just fine for half a year - does the clutch just need to be bled occasionally? If so, that will be the next thing I do..

Thanks.

Try bleeding first. If you have a little bit of air in there it could make it do what you are describing, although adjusting the free play should have made it change at least a little.

So I tried to loosen the nut to bleed the lines, but my wrench snapped and I punched myself in the face..

>_>

Guess I'll try again with better tools..

Called a shop nearby and they're charging $240 for the master and slave replacing.. Bah.

Going to get some better tools and if not then I'm taking it to the shop.

Lol F that. you can rebuild them for 30$.
and you can buy both for under 100$

all you need is a 10mm socket, wrench, an extension or two
