I did a search and I think I found one of the problem but could not figure out the other.

My roommate was driving the car and said the clutch pedal stayed on the floor. I went to go check on the car and pull the pedal off the floor and start the car, I go to push the clutch in and I feel pressure more then there should be. I push it all the way to the floor hard and I feel the clutch catch on sometime and the motor stalled. BTW the car is in Netural and I was not trying to push the tranny in gear.

Well we get the the car towed to the apt. I looked at the tranny, and pulled the plate off the side and started playing with the fork. When I can manually push the for into the PP with easy. Its like the TB is not putting pressure on the PP to release it.

BTW after I had pulled it off the floor the first time, there was still spring to the pedal again. Today when i was looking at the car the pedal will stay on the floor. Now I did play with the slave when under the car.

Oh yea there was fluid in the master when it broke down on my roommate.

Problem:
Pedal on the floor----- Slave???
fork not releasing the PP-----??????

Oh yea the clutch was replaced before she got the car 6 months ago, by my friend, and drove fine until this happen.

Anyone have this problem

BTW I am about the new owner of this car so I should be here more often :icon_bigg

I'd replace the master and slave together. If you just do one, the other sometimes will pack it in shortly thereafter. A good place to order from is Champion Toyota in Texas. If this doesn't solve the problem, I'd start looking at the clutch itself after that. I'm pretty sure this should fix it. You can use aftermarket parts for cheaper, but I don't trust the quality on important parts like this.
about $150 for both from Champion.
You can order parts here if you like:

I am figure that would solve the clutch on the floor, but not that I could move the clutch fork, through its full range of movement with easy.

BTW thanks for the link

time to pull the tranny...

The clutch release bearing and hub assembly wasn't assembled right and the snapring failed...

Been through this so many &^%$^ times it's not even funny. Do yourself a favor and buy all new parts for the assembly from toyota and assemble it EXACTLY as shown in the TSRM. If not assembled right, it will fail again.

It may be 14 miles, it may be a couple months, it may be the drive around the block, but it WILL fail...

clutch SHOULD be OK...

but if you're dropping the tranny, you REALLY should replace it anyway. You have no idea of how long it's been in there, and dropping the tranny isn't fun...

friend did the job wrong obviously, and it's not going to be cheap...

The snapring tends to get stuck, starts rotating, and eventually machines the lip that holds the snapring on...

means a new hub ($50) along with all the related hardware...

start here and read up on it. I can get the part numbers you need to order form the dealer as well if needed...

do one thing before you do anything and make sure the clutch release fork's fulcrum is bolted down right, I've seent eh bolts snap too...

but here's all the part numbers you'll need:
96152-00450
90363-45012
90201-71001
90206-72001
90520-67001
90201-45023
31264-14040
31231-14040

The assembly when assembled on the pressure plate correctly will be very snug and won't move around much at all. That's the way it's supposed to be.

Follow the TSRM to the letter. Get one of the washers backwards or out of place and it's failure city...
