If the flywheel was machined flat, the clutch would slip in short order (might hold for a while, but then, sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiip).

Sounds like you put the clutch disk in backwards.

the flywheel was machined flat then resurfaced w/ the step in it again. =/


Clutch disk was NOT put in backwards.

The springs on the clutch are facing the PP.

as long as the backstep isn't too large, it will release (assuming the linkage is working correctly)

Really dunno what to tell you at this point, need to find some other supra people in your area to help as it's a lot easier to diagnose in person...

The car is in my drive way and I can't figure it out for the life of me and I was there since day one.It's driving me crazy

There are a few gurus up there that know their stuff (Slow66 is in CT)

Without being able to see it, I can't really tell you...

he's still kind of far from us.

I do agree that I don't think it's the fly wheel.Cee's set on thinking thats it.I think that he might have put somthing on wrong when he put the clutch together or I think it's the clutch folk isn't hooked up.

Take good pics (to get pics of where the clutch fork is on the hub, take the other inspection plate off).

Pictures speak a thousand words :D

Negative my good friend, i don't know what it is, i just guess as to what could be wrong. Other then that i have no clue =/.

ill giv u a ring next time im back in town...but in the mean time, go under brians car and check how much the slave pushes the fork and compare it to yours, so we can find out if the slave is the reason why its not dis-engaging
