Clutch not engaging until its about 1 inch from the floor

There is no pressure in the clutch pedal (as if there is not even a clutch pedal there) until it is about 1 inch from the floor and then engages. After I release the pedal it only pops up to that point at which it started engaging at the 1 inch point. I can pull the pedal up with foot really easy but once I push it in again I get the same result every time.

Even if there is still some pressure. Could it be adjusting the pedal or fluid. Would like to eliminate possibilities before having to replace parts. Or do you still think that its possibly the master and slave that need to be replaced.

Probably one of the two is bad. Its good to replace both or you will be back in the same boat in a couple weeks.

If its low on fluid, it had to leak somewhere. You can always add more fluid and bleed it. See how long that lasts.

mine did the same thing and the resivor was empty...just ordered a slave cause i have a leak under the car aroung trans area. what did you replace and did it fix it?
