Yup, same thing happened to me a few days ago, tranny is still out. Go to Toyota and buy all new rings and a new hub, its about $105.

Stock PP is fine with a 6 puck. It will easily hold 500+ rwtq. I started to slip at 28 psi with that set up. A stiffer PP will increase the torque if you need it, if not just through the disk in.

It's been a long pissed off day. I pulled the tranny out today at th shop
took about 45 minutes. Installed new pressure plate hub release and
all rings. Drove about 15 minutes felt real good. pulled it back in the shop
put it back on the lift to check for leaks, all ok put the vehicle in gear damn
pedal went to the floor fluid all over. Slave blew out again rings also came
of of release hub. Will be pulling trans out again. I found out the release hub is worn off snap ring came off. I'm sure the culprit is the imput shaft must have play or is bent or the imput shaft bearing may be damage, must ahve done it while installing the JDM engine. Who ever reads this DONT BE A DUMB ASS LIKE ME!!! CHECK EVERYTHING!!!!. I was so pissed today I almost sold the car, but then a EVO customer came in today, that reminded me how I love punishing those cars.
