yeah like everyone else has stated, the snout goed towards the tranny. the funny part, it will work to an extent if put in backwards. I had a guy about a year ago bring me a built up turbo that he had a SPEC (forgot what stage) clutch put in by a local Toyota dealer. After a short break-in period of easy driving, he started to get on it and it held fine up to 6psi then would totally let go. I pulled it apart and sure enough, it was in backwards. The sad pard here is that it was a Toyota dealer that put it in in the first place. (just another reason why I do all of my own work)
