not sure if the cluster problem is in the dash or elsewhere. i am new to toyotas and haven't dealt too much with cluster issues in general. i have a 86.5 with w58 trans and a 1uz-fe and from a 94 lexus swapped. no problem with the running and operation of the car, but the gauge cluster goes wild when i use any electronic accessories. lights, blinker, air blower, etc. the tach jumps and the voltmeter fluctuates. not sure if these are controlled by the computer, or direct from sensors, or if there is just an issue with the cluster wiring.

i have already added a 4 ga. ground to the block thinking that would have a bearing on it, but did nothing

any help would be appreciated.

thanks!

if i put this in the wrong place please let me know. i did not see a section for electrical issues and although this may not be at all related to the engine in the car, i thought that it should be here just in case it was. someone has had to have had some issues with the gauge cluster at some point in the last 25 years though...
