So i had my first cigar today, iwasnt really into it before but got it as a wedding present, so i had it, enjoyed it, and would like to know all of your choices =)

Seriously though, most people who smoke cigars on a regular basis these days are either old, pretentious, or both, AND they think they are more sophisticated than the poor souls who smoke cigarettes.

I use to smoke Excalibers when I could afford them. I also like the rough cut ones Clint Eastwood has always smoked. I cant remember the name of them, but they are made the same exact way they were 200 years ago...all natural...He was smoking them in "The outlaw Jose Wales"...They are only like $1.50 each...when you buy a brick.:naughty: I have smoke a real cuban cigar once....they are awesome...but hard to get.

I used to enjoy a cigar every now and then, but I just don't enjoy them as much anymore. I find my pipe is so much more enjoyable than a cigar, and tastes a lot nicer.
Cohiba is my favorite Cuban, followed by a Roneo & juliet.
Right now I've got a custom blend from Thompson Cigar that's not in their catalog. It's a blend of Columbian, Dominican and Cuban tobacco. If it had any more Cuban in it it would be elegal. They are hand rolled in the Dominican and the closest thing to a Cuban I've ever smoked.
Plus the price is the best part 4.00 ea. shipped to my door.:naughty:

Ok, stupid question time, what makes a Cuban so special, and why are they illegal? Is it b/c of the U.S. non-relationship with Cuba or is there something about the cigar itself that is illegal? I've only smoked a few cigars, never really been into them, prefer clove cigarettes personally for those special occasions I do decide to smoke.

i think it has something to do with the climate and how the tobbacco grows.
i go down to the smoke shop that is on the reservation called little brown.... really cheap cigars because they arent taxed, and they are still good.
i had a couple cubans in mexico, but the were my first cigars so i couldnt tell much of a difference. i like the more maduro(sp?) cigars, the darker ones for those who arent in the know, the helix cigars are good for a cheaper cigar, and sometimes the cognac ones are good. a had a couple of those clint eastwood one (kinda skinny and ugly lookin right?) dipped in bourbon or brandy they tasted great.
i also smoke the pipe tobacco too, it is i little bit more relaxing and it doesnt leave a taste in the mouth for days.
just an hour ago i smoked a cigar while i was stripping/repainting my sawblades.
well have a nice night, im off to go put another clear coat on.
