Well, since it is that time of year!

This is the gingerbread house myself and some friends built this holiday season. Post up some of yours if you made one!

Enjoy!

Yes and no... I mean some people do it, but it's not like everyone does it. Christmas is definitely the time to do it though, if you're going to build one. There are a lot of kits out there, but I find them to be of lackluster quality. Building your own house from scratch takes the cake every time for sure.

I know that it's become something I usually do every year now, though it's not always a house, just something cool. Last year we did a gingerbread German WW2 Panzer tank with a motor inside and a movable turret, it was also quite cool.

This house is by far the largest gingerbread anything I've ever been a part of, and it turned out fantastically.

We modeled it after this house I found online:

This picture does NOT do it justice, it was quite large, lol.

I have a video of it in action somewhere as well, but I can't remember where...

That's "pretty cool" according to my 9 year old. Our girls did one of the kits. I called them in to see the pictures, and now I have the feeling we may be trying one from scratch next year. :icon_bigg

Thanks for sharing.

Awesome, we did one but it never made to the picture stage. I got a bit peckish

Yes, this is why a LOT of candy should be purchased. Never buy just enough to do the house, always get a lot more for everyone who feels like grabbing from the candy bags while decorating.

It will end a lot better that way, haha.
