Man...If things are looking as they are...

*In my eyes*, OHIO is the new Chicago this year.

I say that meaning, Chicago was always the Event I saved up money for and made it my "big" trip of the year....Sounds like Ohio is going to do the job there.

Guess we'll see.

Here is a post I made in SupraForums:

Ok guys, just wanted to put a quick note out there that I am working on the planning for Chi2k7!!!! Most know since I've come into SP I've been BURIED LOL, some know better than others  Nonetheless, I'm going to be working with my boy Parin (piney), Nelson, and some others to get this organized.

It's going to be a hectic season, as SP is planning on moving to a new location later this year :) Bigger and better!! So I'm currently trying to juggle looking for a new place, as well as LOTS of other things. Ok, enough whining. This years meet will be bigger and better then last year!!!!!!!

One question, would anyone be interested in having a small swap meet at either the drag day or dyno day? Good chance to clean out some parts of your garage ;)

More details to come soon. If anyone has questions you can email me at
chris@spracingonline.com
or contact Parin , pm Pineapplemonkey ( correct my spelling p ;))

Thanks,
Chris

As Chris has already posted, CHI2K7 will be collaborating with Sound Performance & Elmhurst Toyota to bring a bigger and better show than last year!!!

EDIT: Dates have been set to the weekend of August 10-12.

If you have any suggestions or ideas that you want to see this year, please post up here or email me at chi2k[at]comcast[dot]net with subject title of "CHI2K7"

P.S. Treadmill, give me a call on my cell.

Is any one planning on attending this year?

Also, Nelson and the rest of the SP Gang - do you need help this year?

Jon, I could definitely use your help again! Email me or give me a call on my cell.

On a side note, every year CHI2K gets bigger and bigger. And in order to have a successful meet, it must be organized very well. With that said, I am looking for any volunteers that can help out to make this one even better than last year. So anyone out there is interested in volunteering, please post here or send me an email at chi2k[at]comcast[dot]net with the subject: "Volunteer"

More details to follow soon!!!

Thanks,
Nelson

Kurt, you can always trade your tickets or refund them, and you have plenty of time to swap your vacation days. It sounds like it's going to be pretty big this year. It may not be worth the trip, but Vixen and I are going. At least we'll know next year if it's worth it. It's a sixteen hour drive for us and that's a long long freaking way. Hopefully we'll get up there, have fun, and make it back without losing a supra along the way..................:biglaugh:

Did I mention that the gayest blue supra of all is going to be there?...............:icon_bigg

Thank you, Nelson. :)

I'll edit my original post as an informative post so that people will actually know what's going on this year! :icon_razz

These tickets aren't too easy to trade, Jay. 3 out of the 4 were frequent flyer freebee's and you have to book them 9 to 12 months in advance in the first place, and then I would be penalized to death on change fees for non-refundable tickets...

Mapquest shows only half the time to Dayton from Birmingham. Shorter trip and you could show up in the gayest blue supra... unless we could talk Ryan into showing up there, too. ;)

Jay. I could probably get you into my apartment in Indy one night if you wanted to stop. Not too far of a drive from here.

I just hope my car doesn't take a huge DUMP like it did last year... talk about embarrassing. :icon_bigg Changing an alternator during a show/shine... lol

But I am pretty damn sure I'll make Chicago, Ohio I am gonna have to pass on. STILL may take the bike over, but I dunno yet. Gimme a call closer to the date Jeffy.

^ That thing is still holding up?? Or you just wanting us to show up to issue us our subpoenas? :icon_conf

I still may ride the bike, maybe try for a single digit pass. I'm just not sure if they'd hassle me because my 'leathers' aren't leather.
