Well, were you trying to get around the speed limiter or not? LOL.

Code 42: SPD signal is not input to ECU for at least 8 seconds during high load driving with engine speed between 2500 rpm and 4000 rpm.

Trouble Area: Open or short in vehicle speed sensor circuit, Vehicle speed sensor, or ECU.

My suggestion? Check your wiring.

Who did your swap? Search around for an ECU pinout here on the board, you should find one.

A mechanic back in AZ:nono:... I will find that pin but what does this problem do to my car??? am i going to see performance gain with this fix:sarcasm:

Hmm. Yeah, I think so. Check for continuity on that circuit. Maybe have someone drive while you're tapping between that pin and ground, to make sure you're getting a voltage change.

Uhm, I'll step aside and let someone take over from here. I got you going pretty well. :D

have you tryed clearing the codes then taking it for a drive and checking again? If it where me thats what I would do before assuming I have a problem with wiring harness... pull efi fuse and main relay turn car over that will clear the codes...

I am having a problem pulling the codes the factory way. Can I jump pin W7(te1 check connector) and X24(e1 ground)? These should do the same thing, right?
