I just finished replacing my blown turbo and now I have a check engine light.
Checked the codes and they are
12 = RPM signal
21 = oxygen sensor heater signal
22 = coolent temperature sensor signal
24 = intake air temperature sensor
31 = airflow meter signal
34 = turbocharger pressure signal

why did all these happen at once or is there some that set the light off and some that dont. scince most of this shits on the passenger side of engine could i have broke some of the old ass wires that go ever the engine behind the cam gears. the car runs fine smells a little rich and it dosnt stop boosting at the stock setting. im going to reset the ecu and see if i still have all these. any info or past experinces like this would be very helpful. and how do i find the turbo pressure signal sensor. THANKS

turbo boosting past stock boost levels could be because on the new turbo you put in the wastegate might be shimmed or differant?

The 666 jumped up and bit you!

Or you could have an old ass brittle harness. Replacing the harness could cure them all at once. I actually saw a brand new pre 89 harness for sale last night in a part out. I haven't seen one of those in years.

The turbo pressure sensor is connected to the silver box on the shock tower (injector resistor??) on the drivers side. It has a vacuum line running from the back of the manifold to it.

No, that line goes to a small sensor, and is only used for the gauge. The ECU has no direct measure of pressure used for fuel calculation. The code is set because it saw an abnormal frequency from the AFM.

Every one of those codes is from a sensor on the exhaust side of the engine, I doubt thats a coincidence.

Agreed

the funny thing is i only unpluged the o2 sensor everything else stayed together i flipped the afm onto the radiatior so im looking twards the brittle harness. think im going to do the rewire this weekend i know someone did a write up on doing it on here just gotta find it.

Not that it's impossible, but a 90, unless it has a bazillion miles on it, shouldn't have a harness so brittle it completely fails when you move it. I recently did a HG on a car with 190k on it, and had the hottest engine bay i've ever felt in my life, and the worst i found were some connectors with broken tabs...

Have you reset the codes and they all came back?

reset the codes and onley have a 21 oxygen sensor code , maybe the oil burning from the bad turbo fouled it. what is the best stuff to clean them?

so i took the o2 sensor out and cleaned it with some carb cleaner reset the ecu put it all back together started it up check engine light was still on went for a ride it went off for like three minutes then came back on did another code check and still a 21. i didnt really soak the sensor in fear of killing it its only a year old from toyota. should i really soak it to clean it out?
