wheres the cheapest place to get wiseco pistons for the 7mgte? part # k613m84 they are 1mm over stock comp. i figure since ross pistons have gone up might as well spend the little extra for the wiseco's. cheapest ive found so far was $650. im sure there must be somewhere that has them cheaper or on sale.

Are you sure that these are stock compression? I was looking to go with wiseco, and all the info I found had the supra (both turbo as well as NA) listed as 9:1 compression ratio. I asked the owner of a shop (nolimitmotorsports.com) to call wiseco and he was told that if he wanted the 8.4:1 compression they would be special order, and would come without the skirts coated..... just my $.02

ok, i just checked the site again, and it does look like they are 9:1. i might just grab those anyway as the chambers of my head have been reshaped and cleaned up, so that increased the chamber volume. the lower dish on the pistons will help counteract that.

i know this thread is in the grave but.. since i am currently looking in to the same thing

http://www.nolimitmotorsport.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=K613M835

$648 free shipping.. i just emailed them to see if they are in stock..

note, i linked to the .020" oversize version (83.5mm bore)

as for the compression ratio, a 2mm head gasket will put it at about 8.5:1 (assuming stock numbers for everything else)

thats all i know..

I know the cheapest place to get some barely used JE pistons is my e-bay auction that ends in one hour! Same user ID as here.

This is a good deal since they come with rings.

The 9:1 will work fine, but you will have to be more careful with boost psi...higher boost effectively increases compression, making the possibility of detonation more of a problem since you have a higher compression ratio to start with. You will need a good tune and the highest octane gas you can get.

If you don't remove much material from the block/head when decked, the 2mm gasket will lower the compression somewhat.

Ross or JE are also very good choices.

i prefere wiseco. ross are cheap and ok, but far too heavy imho. wisecos are much lighter and i know more people that have personally used them as apposed to je. so ill stick with what i know works.

My biggest complaint was I couldnt get anyone to sell me 1 or 2 pistons, just incase I had a problem.

After having several issues with SERVICE. I will be glad to pay a bit more to talk to a PERSON.

Honestly, I called Weisco 12 times and left 5 messages (over the course of 2 weeks) and actually talked to someone (at weisco) that sad they would call me back in 1~2 hours. Never heard from them again. I also talked to 3 distributors and they all had the same experience, NO one returned their calls.

I my opinion they are selling to many motorcycle, jetski and snowmobile pistons to worry about car customers.

Good luck

I had the same problem with my Ross pistons, I needed to replace 2-3 of them, but couldn't find anyone to sell me a split set. When I called Ross they wanted nearly as much for three as it would cost to replace all of them. I ended up boring to .040 and going with weisco (they are 9:1 comp but I used a thicker HG to lower it a bit).

The cheapest place I've found them for is www.importperformanceparts.net I've ordered from them and had really fast shipping with good service (talked to a real person, everytime I called).

Ya beat me to it. Summit is the place, as time goes on they are moving to help all the import cars. Ive been buying from them for the last 15 years and have spent at least 60k there. That equales a ton of money saved over the years. High Fives for Summit and bingo they sell Wiseco.
