Im just looking for SOMETHING here in houston around town for insurance, liability only. Geico was cheapest so far, online quoted at $197 today and $112 month for 6 months.

I need cheaper IF possible. Pretty clean record, wondering any tricks around this or if any of those local holes in the wall places would be diff.

Well my insurance (CSE - Civil Service Engineering) recommended I dont get full coverage because the value of the car is too low. So they said since this is a 2nd car, and its so old, it will only cost $400 per year for liability.

I dont know what it would cost if its your only car but it would be a little more. All I know is owning 2 cars is always better than owning one for insurance purposes.

Wow! I pay just a little over that for three vehicles, two with full coverage. The Supra just has liability. Of course I'm sure I'm a lot older than you:icon_bigg .

^^That seems a little high to me. I paid 200 and 58 per month for liability with an sr-22. And I've got 2 dui's.
really?
This gives me hope!
How old are you though?

pheonix, you're 21, or almost right?
I'm wondering how high mine is when I move out.

I am with Unitrin direct for my cars on liability. 6 months for my 99 F250 was $190. If I add the Supra it's like $100 for it for 6 months (2 cars, just liability)

Try them

I have State Farm... mine is $77 a month for 6 months. I'm 28 with a few speeding tickets. The poopra is my Daily Driver, no other cars on my policy.

Well, I can get 2 companies now, Safeco or Allstate. Allstate was only $127 a month, doable, but they want $250 down, NOT doable. FUCK! Ive got $150 down.

do you or some one in your family own a RV or camper? If so you can sign up with The Good Sam club . Its like AAA for RV's They have an insurance program through GMAC insurance. I joined them when I was about your age. I had a 98 ls1 camaro and allstate wanted 3400 a year for full coverage. GMAC wanted 1800. Now I'm paying 573 for full on my 04 jeep and 254 liability on my supra for 6 months. Only thing that sucks is you have to be a good sam member before they will quote you. Its only like 20 bucks a year.

i had liability only and i was paying $80 per month, with no tickets, and no accidents. when i turned 25 this last september i decided to go with full coverage and it stayed the same. i have a 50 deductible for comp and 500 for collision. and am i glad i did that. nov 18th my car was broken into and the damage was 1500. they tried to steal it but they suck at it. so they tried to steal the cd player, but they suck at that too, so they stole just the face which was fine to me cause i got a better one now. and if it was you that broke into it......you suck at life, just quit.

Anyone in NJ have any info? Im 20 years old and geico full coverage is over 3000 a year on my mr2. NJ cure has given me the cheapest quote so far. I tried to buy it but they say you need 3 years of driving experience, which makes no sense cause i got my license in november (bday) of 04 when i was 17, So thats 3 years and 2 months. So i have to call em. But they gave me a quote of like 840 a year for min liability on the mr2, 700 a year for the 88 sup, and like 1200 for full coverage with 2000$ deductible on the mr2. I need to move out of this dam state! For comparisons sake, geico was taking 1800 a year from me for min liability. And this is with one ticket 2 years ago and no points. lol. Wait till those driving on the suspended list tickets sink in...long story.
