Ok so just yesterday I started to turn on my A/C. Everything was good, untill I drove it to autozone, I left the car on the with the A/C running, then all of a sudden I felt the a/C compressor turn off, and after a minute of so the car completely turned off. I tried to turn it on and it would only click click click. Like if the battery was drained.

Autzone jumped it and it started right up. I did noticed it was idling kinda low. So I get home turn it off and onn again and it would'nt start, just click click. So then I jumped it again and then I hooked up a DMM to it and it read 9.5 volts on the battery with the car on. I took out the alernator and took it to Autozone and they tested it and it turned out bad. I got a new one and Installed it and the same thing happend, it was still reading 9.5 and it was getting lower untill it reaced 8.5. So I checked the fuses inside and a fuse "Engine 15A" was blown. I replaced thtat and tested iti again, and at idle with it turned on I would only get 12.3 at the battery. I turned if off and measured the battery voltage and it would read 12.5.

I do know that the positive wire to the alternator, the one that is hold down with a washer is not so good.

And I want to replace it. Can this wire be replaced byitself? And does it just run fron the battery to the alternator?

And also what else can cause this low charging problem? BTW now that I rememember the car has been charging like 12.4 for a while now, I just never paid attention untilll now.

Doubt it's the cable, but try checking voltage at the alternator while it's running, to be sure. Most likely the alternator.

The alternator is brand new, I just got it yesterday. I even took it back to make sure it worked and it is good.

Can anyone answer my question regarding the cable? Does the cable just go from the battery to the alternator?

No, it does not. There are fusible links between the battery and the alternator.

The TSRM will answer this for you.

Check the wiring diagrams. The alternator is on this page:
