charcoal canister

my boyfriend is doing a head gasket replacement on my '88 supra 7mgte. he is almost finished, but has run into one problem. On the charcoal canister, he is not sure where the one line hooks up to. he's figured out the vaccuum lines at the top of the canister, but at the bottom, there is a small hose which is attached to a metal line. where does this metal line get attached to? any help would be appreciated!:icon_razz

It doesn't. It feeds through a hole in the chassis.

there is a hole with a grommet that sits under the charcoal canister in the frame rail.

it goes there (IIRC it's the failsafe for the charcoal canister)
