ok ive looked at a diagram a few times now with this, isnt the vent line for the tank the bigline leaving the charcoal canister. because before i took mine off whenever i opened my fuel cap PSHHH now that i have it removed it doesnt do it. lol i even put it back on after a while and drove around it did it again so i was thinkin that a clogged charcoal canister is bad also

I come from a land down under
Yes the tank only vents while the engine is running, the tiny vac hose on the cannister opens it to atmosphere.

I don't really understand why you guys are removing the CC as it doesn't affect performance in any way.

If it's for "looks" get the small JDM plastic cannister and hide it leaving the system functional.

drill a hole in the gas cap, and put a plug on the end of the hardline coming into the engine bay near the exhaust side. problem solved.

I had removed mine and put a hose tucked into the fender, but perhaps I'll try to find a small one at the junk yard and hide it someplace. Any ideas on which one would be suitable, Ian?

Kurt: The JDM Supra's have a compact plastic one so anyone that has a half cut sitting around should have one!

jza: That would work as the have a one way valve.

im confused what will work the drilling gas cap thing?

wonder where i can get one
What? Are you thinking out loud here?
If that was a question, it should have been followed by a question mark (?).

You can probably get one at a place such as an auto parts store. You will, however, need to bring yours in, and probably have to ask to see the vented gas caps they have in stock, and match yours up.

woah, there... calm down. i thought you were thinking out loud too. haha. actually, i thought it was kindof funny. :) anyway. my method probably isnt legal anywhere. i also never run over a half tank, for reasons i'm sure you all can figure out. ;)

i used to have the steel line vented through the fender, but the cabin of the car started to smell like raw fuel, so i capped it off. :)
