jacked up the car to see what i would get into in changing to hard pipes and i can barely squeeze my hand up there to even touch the clamp at the turbo, much less get a wrench up there....

Do you pull the turbo change out the first bottom hose? pull the oil filter to get more room? disconnect the ps hoses in the way [or whatever those high pressure hoses were..didn't follow them back to see]

how do you guys do it, pls?

with extensions and a ujoint. you dont have to remove anything other than the upper IC pipe and the turbos air intake hose (the accordion hose thats attached to the AFM/airfilter.)

Only way to do it is from the top.

doing it from the top is easier to me also but you can do it from the bottom. i just dont like when people say something like "you CANT do it this way" when it is simply not true.

Very easy to get in with the accordian hose off. But the first time I did it from the bottom, just a very tight squeeze.

when i changed mine to a hard pipe i had to access from boh top and bottom

agreed, ive done it both ways too. it all really depends on what angle the PO left the worm clamps. just make sure you put them on correctly next time so you can have the right angle for the next time you want to pull them off

the top is a lot easier than the bottom for me...... however maybe if your clamp was faceing the block or something crazy, the bottom may be easier...... who knows....... but we should all just be friends

well whats the point of these forums? to give people accurate information or inaccurate information?

Have you taken the upper clamp off from underneath the car with the car fully assembled?

/\ I have.

It's the wording that was all wrong.
You should have said "I've never been able to get it from under the car, the only way I could ever do it is from above"
Instead of "There is no way you can do it from under the car. Only way to do it is from the top."

yes. and if you read my previous posts i said its probably easier to do it from the top, but not impossible as you have stated.

these forums are useless if people like you post clueless bullshit that goes un checked.

Not impossible, as many people have done it. It's fine to share your personal experiance, but please do not say something is impossible just because you couldn't do it.

I have always taken it off from underneath... never been a problem or hassle for me. I find its easier to pull it off and push on from the bottom. Im a small guy though.
