Search "honestabe" on these forums. He's still active so he shouldn't be too hard to find. Your hood will be fine, it's the radiator support you'll have to cut. You'll also need to relocate the battery as projector housings stick out quite a far bit out.

If you have quality hids you will be able to see good.

Pop ups look a lot better than flush mounts on theses cars.

Did you look at that link?

Yes, because the sleepy eyed "flippys" definitely cast a good light :3d_frown: which was your original concern.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you bought ebay projector housings and used the bulbs that came with them. Get some nice hella retrofit housings and stuff some phillips Xtreme powers into them for a really great improvement over the sealed beams. Alternitively you could get drop in place HID's IIRC Poodles still makes them.

PS: Putting flushmounts on a mk3 is like putting toothpaste on your prime rib.

im with the canuck on this one, you deff need to get some REAL projectors and not that ebay crap. Those ebay "projectors" arnt even functional, they work worse than the clear lense headlights.
moromoto minis with HID's, and some aftermarket headlight housings to retrofit is your most cost effective bet.

The stock headlights work awesome.... there must have been something wrong with yours if they weren't bright enough. Mine are bright as hell and I just run stock halogen sealed beam bulbs.

That has quality hids.

For the "sleepy eyes" that will all be custom. The arms that the motor turns to move the headlight up will need to be modified so they only go up to where you want.
