CatchCan Inlet/Outlet Hose Sizes?

Just a few quick questions i couldnt find answers on while searching. First, Whats a good size to run off the valve covers? Would going to a larger hose off the vavle covers help with crankcase pressures? I know this would result in drilling and taping the valve covers to increase size.

Also, for running the outlet from the catchcan into the accordian hose, should one stick with the same size hose as the inlets? or run a larger hose?

I was planning to run a hose big enough so i can clamp it onto the original nipple on the accordian hose where the hose from the valve covers used to run...

Thanks,

The bigger the hoses off the valve covers, the better. For the vac. source (accordian hose).. I'm not sure. I was wondering about this myself. Too big and there is not enough vac. too small and there is not enough flow.

Hopefully IJ will chime in soon and straighten this up for us.

I'm not quite there yet, but I'll start with two 1/4" hoses off the valve cover, and one 1/4" to the accordian pipe.

On my 7M I used to run two 1/2" hoses from the valve covers.. but I had a lot of blowby when I went over 20 PSI.

usually people just stick it at the bottom of the catchcan is my understanding, helping the vapors to condense, further than that.. I don't know.

been looking at how to place the steel woll in my catch can, i heard over the outlet is best but cant rig up a system that way, is it ok to place a few bundles in the bottom of the catch like laying in 50% of the can or less or more?
