I regret to say, but I think the 240z is sexier than the MKIII. It looks timeless. Definitely a classic car.
Agree 100%. I think the Supra looks good from a 80s "oldschool" perspective, but the 240/280z looks way more vintage. If I ever get bored with the MKIII chassis, I'd love to pick one up and drop the 7M in! 2300 lbs compared to my 3800 lb targa. :p

Another car id like to mod would be a Fiero, one of the newer ones. No body swaps or anything, I think Fieros can look really cool on their own. Not sure what id do to it, but from what I hear the mechanicals arnt up to par with the looks or the mid engined layout.
There's a guy in Detroit who makes a kit to swap in Chevy v8's into Fieros... I looked into that a LONG time ago. Archie comes to mind, I believe that was the name of the company...

In that case, i'd like to do the same type of mod in my all time favorite Ferrari: F40
I've seen ONE F40 my whole life. Probably my only 'lottery' car in my eyes.

I'd like to BUILD one of these (with several alterations)

Good to see I'm not the only one thinking about the 7. Hell, I'm getting some things straightened out to buy a house just so I *can* build one of these. What are you thinking for engine Poo? I'm thinking an S2000 drivetrain would be amazing combined with a 1300lb car...

Well, I've got a few, and none of them look like a box with wheels, unlike some people in this thread who shall remain anonymous. Kai. ;) These are in reverse order of cost.

Lancia Stratos.

Or, alternatively, a 1977 Toyota Celica Liftback.

I agree. After I finish this IJZ rebuild with all the nice HKS performance stuff, it will be worth a good amount. I actually know a few buyers that will be interested.

If it does get sold, I am getting a 240Z and doing a 2JZ rebuild singled swap along with a silver paint.

In my opinion, the 240Z is sexier and I believe can compete in the pussy magnet factor with the MKIV....

I love all your sounds.
I have a 1969 Austin America that I have had for years. I'm waiting to find a good donor car to swap the body over to. I just got a Chrysler LHS. The car is average, but it has an all aluminum v6 that needs to be swapped into something. I also have a 64 Chevy van for a low rat rod project. Unimog someday.
Plus the cars in my sig.:)

You're pushing it with an EJ257. those blocks are crap in comparison to a EJ22T. the 257 isnt closed deck either just semi.

my buddy pushes 300whp out of his 22E. the EJ22 motors came with forged rods :)

just my 2 cents though im not a big fan of the STI.

Kai, I happen to share your love of the Capri... reminds me of a mix of the Mk2 Supra, 240Z.

I've always liked the idea of a Legacy Wagon with a swap of some sort... Nobody suspect's grandpa's car can haul ass. ;)

Mine, very dirty.

I'd love a Unimog, slantnose Porsche, BMW 2002, old 240, and quite a few others.

As soon as I build a house, this is mine, too. Starting to put money into it this summer.

Ferrari 308 GTB, engine was shit, but the car is just beautiful, plus they cost next to nothing (they can be had for 20k all day long). I want to stuff a 2jzgte along with a r154 in it.
