my buddy has an SRT-4 with a CF hood. yes it does get foggy. so i painted the hood black and told him to wrap his turbo and exhaust with heat wrap. working just fine now. no signs of heat damage before he took of for irag.

I dont think that stuff would work on the hood, especially right above the turbo, but if your turbo's EGT's are getting up to i think its 900C, then i think it would burn off...

Better off in the long run ceramic coating the inside and outsite, and possibly making a really thick heatshield.

what kind of turbo are you running. if its stock then you really dont have to worry because the turbo is not as close to the hood as it is if you were running an after market ex. manifold.

Hmm...I've never had a problem with my CF hood getting foggy. How long would you say until this starts happening?

Yeah I'm running the stock turbo, and now that I look closer my hood seems to have some sort of underliner to it. On a side note though the underliner looks as though its got some very mild discooration in the area of the turbo.
