I told people a million times that certain companies would make CF products for our cars if people would just bring in the parts for them to replicate them. Sadly they are all way too far from me, and no one else seems to care enough. There are 2 companies that I talked to that was interested.

Ive got a spare hatch in my backyard, and i also know of a guy who said he wouldnt mind making some parts for my car. If theres enough intrest, which looks like there might be, then ill haul the hatch down there and get some estimates on costs and what not. Once thats done i know another guy whos dad owns a company that makes lexan windsheilds for heavy equipment.

FYI rear hatch with glass is 59.5 lbs according to the A70 weight index. I would think looking at the size of the glass that 25 - 30 lbs of that is glass.

30 lbs? You are under by about 10-15 lbs Glass is DENSE.
