I'll sign for a fiberglass hood with good looking vents. The hood doesn't have to be a show and shine quality for me, as long as its light and the vents are not into your face ugly. Mouldings i'll also sign for.

I hope your guy is faster and easier to communicate with than I am with my guy. My guy lags, but he gets it done...................................eventually. I'm almost about had it with him, but were working on better communication.

What about something easier like new sets of moulding?

x2, some flat fiberglass mouldings that sit flush-ish with the body pannels would look great.

Edit: just saw zer0degreez post, what he said.

Ok, guys a CF undercover would be just as useless as tits on a bull.

1. It would get f*cked up
2. There won't be anything asthetically pleasing about it as you can't see it.
3. No one is going to buy it

When it comes to CF parts, start small or go home. :naughty:
read below, exactly what i was thinking when i said it

OK OK.. I see the problem. Too many things wanted. Also I REALLY was pointing towards the Fiberglass stuff. CF is $$$$$$$ and from what I hear hard to get. So lets stop talking about CF dash and CF doors... Etc.

the way i see it, its your source, have him make what you want first... the lip. atleast this way you can get the ball rolling

Stock FG hood, if it fits well, there will be quite a few people here interested. I would be down for one, with no provision for a stock latch, just pins.

meh our fenders arent that heavy...Fiberglass hood tho!!! x1000000

No, but thats where you need to get the weight off - the front. You can get a CF hood off ebay from any number of sellers that fit just fine.

BTW - I like the idea of a CF (as long as it's race car stuff) dash as well.

WOW.. OK I have a nice list of things. And some of the CF ideas may be ok to do. I do not think there will be a CF Dash, or Fenders. However I will tell him of the interest and see what he says.

Like I said so far all I know is he told me that he would need me to order 5 lips to make it worth the time. I guess I will talk to him about the difference between CF and Fiberglass. If the same molds can be used then It’s just the price difference between the CF and fiberglass. Also I have learned that there are more than 1 type of CF. I will get more info on the type he normally will use.

I am hope I can get a nice collection of molds for the MK3 , I will use my car to give him parts to make the molds. He did stress to me that the parts have to be in like-new condition so the mold comes out correctly. I will need some help on some parts as we go along.

I will take some pics of his CF and fiberglass parts when I get there if its ok with him.

Here is the list I am going to get a price on. Basically in this order, unless I can’t get someone with a good lip I can borrow.

1. Fiberglass lip, I will ask about CF just to get the idea on the costs. (Anyone with a lip that’s local to the Tampa area please PM me. I need one for the mold!!)

2. carbon fiber or fiberglass moldings - I really like this idea. CF moldings would look nice. Plus I have good moldings I could give him for the mold. I will be showing him these and will get prices.

3. Steering column covers These in CF would be a nice item. Plus he told me he likes doing small CF parts. I saw some CF parts he was doing and they looked nice.

4. I will get info on a stock hood. However it’s been said before there are plenty of hoods on eBay. I would think this item would be low on the list. But I will get the prices for all of this with the min. order for him to do new molds.

5. I will show him the dash and ask about fenders just to get ideas on price. I don’t see these large items being done, besides the cost of the part, the shipping could get a little crazy.

The lip is just the best idea overall. Most people would be interested and it's something everyone wants and cannot get. The only thing I want to add is that I would really really hope that he could modify the design a bit,for pre-89s. Something nicer than stock lips, like a s-hole lip or evern just a lip with a little more flow to it. Not just flat, plain, equal length. We have no options for lips when it comes to pre-89s. Im in the midst of getting a 89+ bumper to mod to look pre-89 justttt so I can have their lip options, but this would be a better idea, making some meant for the pre-89s bumper.

The lip will be the first item done. Here is the thing. He told me that he needs more then just the lip, he wants the bumper also. Thats not a probem for me however my supra is a 90. My fathers is an 89. I do not know anyone with a PRE-89. If I could get a pre-89 I could ask him to fit the 90 lip on the PRE-89 bumper. So once I talk to him about the lip I will have more information. The pre-89 with 89+ lip idea would be a diffrent mold so again at least 5 orders, and I will have to make sure he can do it.

CF trim panels to replace the black plastic covers just behind the door windows ( on the b pillar). I can't believe they're not available.

I had mine custom made using the originals as a model for the mold. Since they're one-off (1 set only), they were stupid expensive.

I'll take a pic and post it if anyone wants to see what they look like. I'd do it now but it's late, and dark, and I'm in my jammies...
