Please bear with me as I am a "noob" at cars. (thought im interested in learning more :biglaugh: ) anyway, i tried starting my car this morning but nothing happened when i put the key in the ignition. No clicking or anything, when I turned it, the only thing that happened was a dimming of the interior lights. I charged it and that seemed to work for about a half an hour. later on, i tried starting it again but, once again, nothing happened. So i ask you supra gurus this, is it the battery that is the problem? or is it something completely different? uh yea, thanks in advance for any help I get

bad alt, battery, and or connections.

added: get the car running and check the alts voltage output. check or replace the battery, and see if the cables running to the batt and starter are good.

charge the battery and then check the fuse box. if it turns over but doesnt start it might be your EFI fuse...15 amp fuse its the blue one.

I have charged it once already and that DID work which led me to believe that it was a problem with the battery. Tried charging it again and nothing seemed to work. Just wanna be sure before I spend money on a new battery. Fuse box seems to be in shape also.

get it running and take it to autozone or any auto parts store and have them hook up a tester, its free and they will tell you whether its battery or alt. good luck.
