I had the same problem... have you touched the throttle? When i got mine from the junk yard (1200) i replaced all the hoses and couldn't figure out what was wrong.. untill i started playing with the idle flow screw (witch you should NEVER TOUCH, unless someone has done it for you). I remember the guy at the junkyard playing with it so i just started all the way in then did half turns wile i cranked it for 3-5 sec... got it to turn on after 4.5 turns but it idled to high so i took it down a turn.

Or it could be an intake leak or week CPS signal.. does you're tech needle bounce wile you try to start it?

Edit: Every time the weather change allot or i let it sit for two days it would do that until i started playing with that screw some more, i got it to start when ever now... but my idle is high ~800, im sure i have other problems.
