Car runs decent, although very rich without safc2. I am running 680cc's, top feed fuel rail, aeromotive FPR and walbro pump. As soon as i plug in the safc2 it seems like the car just gets fuel cut, it will run decent for about 10-15 seconds before the wideband just goes full lean. If i hit the gas before it will immediatly shut off.

Also under sensor check the in1 i think it is only says 0.0015v and when under full throttle only reads 0.0080 or something around there. any help in what i did to make it run so poor.

what wiring diagram and color of wires did you use? I had the same issue but then found the correct installation and changed the wiring around. been great ever since

also did you do the initial setup???

and if you are on the stock ecu you better be careful. the SAFC2 messes with timing BIG time when you start decreasing fuel. buddy killer a block cause it was running too lean do to the ECU trying to play with the timing. and he was only on 550's

Your buddy probably wasnt running a w/b to view all the time either though. I do agree if you start pulling a crap load out it will effect it but as long as you are tuning WOT only and monitoring all the proper items you should be fine.

Timing will break motors too. The Reaper is right on this one, when going with a much bigger injector the SAFC must recal the signal to get the the AFRs down but it cannot do anything with the stock timing. just be careful with it and tune very conservatively with it. if you have the need for that much fuel you might want to look into another way to manage it....like a standalone.

And I think that the other guys are right. Recheck your wiring and initial set-up.

he had a WB on his car to monitor it all the time. AF's were fine through the power ban it was the timing map being screwed up from trying to pull too much fuel

so how much was being pulled out?

hahaha exactly and that was trying to get the AFR at a good number using the AEM Uego on 2J 550's. which is why i said be careful with 680's cause you'd have to try to pull like 45-50% and thats not cool.

well on stock twins you would. obviously if yur running a 67mm turbo it wouldn't be as much fuel pulled out.

Ok today we swapped out a friend's MAP sensor and got the car running on my safc. Now the car will go lean real quick at ~2k rpm and then go full rich and will not rev very high under load at least.

550's would be the highest i'd go with an AFC

i'll be running 440's on an Aristo ECU which is tuned for 440's but is mapped for a 3L and i'm on the 2.5L. we will see what happens.

But on a 1J ecu and AFC i wouldn't go any higher than 550's and 550's even make me uncomfortable
