Is it common on a Mk3 that large amounts of water get inside the car through the window seals at a touchless car wash? My seals are new and the windows were well adjusted, but man I got soaked! My old Mk2 seals much better than this.

you need to adjust the window better. my driver side had the same problem. your probably need to get those window stabilizer things under the door panel. they have felt on them and yours is probably worn down.
you need 2 of them. they can be found at champion toyota. do a search here and you will find the part numbers.

Only problem I've ever had were with my Targa seals. I had to place garbage over my seats for about a week until the new ones came in :nono:

Other than that, never really had an issue...

No offense to you Tekdeus but it does my heart good to know that your car isn't actually perfect............:icon_bigg
It's still very very close to perfect in most of our minds though.
My passengers side window does the same thing...........

If only you really knew how imperfect my car is! :biglaugh: I could fill a page with my list. I've got you fooled with the illusion of perfection.

Nope. I've got new seals as well, and I get a small trickle on the passenger side only, the driver side seals perfectly.
You've given me hope! Randy will be the one fixing this since he did the install :D

I had a problem like that with my drivers side window. My problem was the adjusters in the door panels the ones with the hex bolt in the middle. There are two. I had to tighten the hex bolts, which pushes the bottom of the window out and the top of the window in toward the seals. That way when you close the doors it presses against the seals. Maybe??

Did this work? My glass need to be pressed more against the rubber also. My passenger door seals quite well.

Yeah. when you close your door the window will hit the seal first, press against it and then ride up to seal with the targa. Try it you'll like it.

My car is a shower inside in a brushless car wash! (won't make that mistake again) ;)
It's quite a surprise, and not a pleasant one. :biglaugh: And of course, I chose the deluxe wash that goes around the car 2-3 times! Good thing I brought a microfiber towel for dying, it came in real handy. I had a small puddle in my rear seat bucket. Luckily I have mock suede, instead of real!

Jay, Jet Jock is more perfect than Tekdeus' car! I swear, some of the stories are hard to believe JJ. C'mon, tell us you've put 3001 miles on an oil change.

This is the part where he tells me 3000 is dumb, but he has never gone past 4975, or 7495 (same four numbers mixed up by accident).

It's the truth but that doesn't mean I wash it often. These days maybe two or three times a year. I can't remember when I last waxed it. Let me spell it out: it's a 22 year old car I don't put much into except to keep it reliable. Why would I since it has a date with the crusher? That means I hand wash it whenever I wash my other cars or when it gets so bad even I can't stand it. I've just never felt any need to machine wash it. Got far better things to spend my duckets on.

Trust me, you don't want to hear about my oil change intervals...
