I don;t know if this thread is in the right place but here is my problem... I own a 91 Toyota Supra with a 1G-GTE Twin Turbo engine in it. I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where it is fairly cold... It was about -30 with the windchill today and the car was sitting outside... As I finished my day at work I went to start the car and it starts revs to about 1k RPM then dies immediatly if you give it any gas it just dies... I was wondering if anyone knew why it was doing this or has any tips they can give me. What makes this really weird is it started fine in the morning but it was in a semi-heated garage. The car does not have any kind of block heater only a battery blanket... If there is anything I left out that may be of importance please ask. Any help is greatly appreciated...

P.S. The car is still at my work in a heated garage for the night. Our mechanic said it should start up just fine tomorrow morning and that something was just frozen...

I don't really know of anything right off the bat, but let us know how it goes tomorrow. Make sure you check the engine codes if it doesn't crank again.

P.S. I want your tach.

Alright I guess that is all we can really do...
I don;t have anything to check the engine codes with nor do I know how...
Would you care to explain?

I read everywhere that lots of people want the 1g tach... Why is that?
