I got in the car this morning to go run errands and its running fine like normal at first. then i get aways done the road and as im accelerating it stops accelerating and rpms start to drop no matter the amount of throttle. I take it out of gear and it stalls. Everytime I start it, it just stalls right away. I limp it back to my garage, if i give it alittle gas right after i start it and keep it goin I can get it going but if the rpms go over 1500 or i give it more then 15% throttle it sputters and pops and jerks and doesnt go anywere. So i drive it back shifting to 5th gear and doin 25 - 30 in 5th gear at about 1500rpm and no matter how much throttle it doesnt go faster and the more throttle i give it, it gets more pissed. I let it sit for a few hours and go back to check the inter cooler pipes and none that i found were disconnected. I also checked all the sensor plugs i could find and there were all in tight. I start it up and it stumbles a sec then idles normal for about 5 minutes and i idle it in reverse out of the garage and put it in first and idle out of the condo developement that i live in. I get out onto the main road and give it alittle gas and it does the same shit, sputting and shaking and wont go over 1500rpm. both time when i took it out it i was in nuetral it revved fine with no sputtering or hesitation. My oil pressure is good and so is my temp. No smoke of any color out of my exhaust and no liquids either. It was consuming a larger then normal amount of fuel in the distance i drove. Also I could smell some fuel in the exhuast as i was driving ever so slowly as it limped along. any ideas were I should start?

i had that problem. it would rev fine but anytime you would try to drive the rpms wouldnt go over 1500 and just kept bouncing.

it was the IDL circuit in the tps. try adjusting the tps, swap in another tps if you have one, or just unplug the tps and see if anything changes.

I suggest you search. That's one of the most discussed subjects over here, and most of the time it is not the main problem. Take 10 seconds to do an advanced search on tps adjustment in the turbo tech section, READ the threads, you should be busy for the rest of the day now ;).

what i was talking about was the IDL circuit. it could be a problem with the tps and adjusting it all day long may not fix it. take an ohm meter and connect it from E2 to IDL. it should be 0 ohms or very low when the throttle is closed. when you open the throttle slightly it should be open, or very high ohms.

if IDL stays shorted for too long (misadjusted or defective tps) it will cut full at 1500 rpm.
