Car overheated..whats this part?

I think he meant it overheated because the hose came off and lost the coolant right? And no putting the brass cupler wont effect anything with the cooling....will be the same temp...

The reason why the engine overheated is because all the coolant was leaking from the hose when it fell off,i never had any overheating problems before that.

IIRC some radiators have brass end tanks and that would lead me to believe brass is fine in the cooling system. I may be wrong though.

true... i guess i just wouldnt want to add any other metals... you already have an aluminum head and a steel block...


and what i mean is you take out the valve because obvisouly its garbage if its rusted that bad.

get either a new hose that goes from the back of the head into the firewall, OR, get a "joiner" or a elbow to join the two current hoses together... honestly if you dont understand this, you may wanna take a step back and just think for a few mins..

Ok i finally fixed the problem,i got a new heater hose and connected it from the back of the head to the firewall and it works perfect=)!!!..thank you guys for your help!
