guys since my supra was fix, (dumb gay ass MSD sparkplug wires) the car pulls very insane hard at 17psi, well over 450hp. One day I got ready for a dyno tuning and she just lost major power, I didn't even do anything to her. The car still runs the same amount of boost but the powers not there anymore, I could bearly pull away from my buddys 12.9 sec supra, and the night before it did this shitty problem I can kill him with 3 huge people in my car.

I don't know wtf is wrong with it, I changed spark plugs, coil pack, check about all I could, ic leak, ic pipes, etc. When I pulled my old plugs out it was white as hell, meaning lean I guess, but THEN my wideband reads rich, 11.'s and sometimes I see 12.'s under boost.

the boost is there, everything to make power is there, but the powers not. 17psi now feels like 5 or 10psi on this huge turbo AM I MAKING ANYSENCE? I am sick, a problem after another this car is giving me. i'm on the edge of parting it out to a bone stock supra and selling it.

guys if you have experiment anything in this case where your car was boosting properly but not making power. LET ME KNOW....or this car will be one bone stock car when I'm done with it. :(

Bad gas. I used to work for a gas company and there would be times where the driver drops off gas and puts the wrong grade in the wrong tank. You would be pumping premium when half the gas in the tank was regular. No one knows that it happens and no one really cares, so the gas station just doesn't care. Drain your tank, replace with a new tank of premium gas. Could be simple as that.

na i dont think is a gas problem. might be wrong do. how about u do a compression test? check out the turbo for play or any strange things. check ur timing. also what are ur mods ?

Yea man you might be right too, I did run out of gas and gas light came on and I pumped gas from where I always pump, a full tank too and came home and that morning after starting it up and 100% trottle it didn't pull for shit...I was kind of thinking of that. BUT I have now went through two full tanks of gas and still same thing.....so I don't think it's gas. but that's helpful...keep em coming.

Yes I did do a compression test, this motor is build for high compression boost, compression is at 180-195psi across boards, yea yea I know that is high....but I like the respond, it's a fully build motor so i'll be fine. turbo has normal play, I even pulled the whole turbo off and checked out, I mean to the shalf and wheels because I was runing out of ideas.

My mods are
VPC, AFC, 550cc's, 255 pump, fpr (pressure holds perfect), ngk plug wires with autolite 3923's, front mounth, ic pipes, t4 84ar hot 60ar cold, 3inch exahust, j/e's high compression, crower rods, stock head. no cam or cam gears. none ported head also.

that's it. help me here guys.....i'm lost ..... :aigo:

it would throw a code if the knock sensor is bad. Check the knock sensor connectors.

This sounds strange, but sometimes my car would pull insanely hard, other times it felt like a damn n/a. Sometimes, when I would hit it, it would pull hard for about 1000rpm and then I could feel the ECU pull about 15 degrees of timing, and accel would act sluggish.

Turns out if the connection is kind of choppy on the Knock sensors, it will not throw a code, as the ECU reads it as knock for some reason.

I think if the ecu is pulling timing because of knock it would throw a code, I'm not sure it will pull timing and not throw codes....do you think i'm wrong?

no it's not because remember I said I kill my buddys 12sec supra and now i'm right next up to him.

check the back of your cam pulley's make sure they havent elongated

had it happen to me loads of boost no power at all reset timing ten mins later same thing
new pulley it was
but could only be seen when took of

ok more info on this please. What did you mean. please explain. thank you.

The ECU will not throw a code if it pulls timing. It will only throw a code because of a bad ECU, Knock sensor wiring, or knock sensor itself. It does not throw a code under pulled timing. If it did, every time it got about 100 degrees outside, people would be bringing thier car in to figure out what the CEL was on for.(back when these cars were new.)

OH, one other thing, the timing is right on the DOT.......timing is not off a tooth or two....it's perfect where it was since like 3k miles ago.

turn the boost down and see what happens....see if it stops pulling the timing...

That or dump a few gallons of race gas in

2 stevevangst: Have you tried to reset ECU? Mine after reset goes much better... but after some time of driving it goes back :-(

May be this is some kind of mechanical problem??
Anyway, please let us know, when you fix it, so do I.
