i have installed crower cams 264 and haven't been able to get the car running. i installed an AEM AFR gauge today and it is pegged out on the rich side while trying to idle. Could the cams have anything to do with this. and i believe this is why it isn't idling. it wont idle unless i pull off some vaccum hoses which let it have some air and then it idles a little better and the afr gauge reads more toward the stoich area but still not stoich. what should i do is something wrong or do i just need to get a fuel controller.

264's are a mild cam, shouldn't cause much of an idle issue compared to its larger counterparts, 272's 284's etc. I would think your issue lies elsewhere. Start with codes.

well could that be the rich problem when i first crank it it rund about 16 and the starts goin down on the af and is a digital one and then it slowely just drops allthe way down to as far as the gauge reads and its like 10.3 and i never degreed the cams just played with them alot but i still dont think it should be that rich and when it warms up to running temp its still real rich never comes up

We just gave you your solution. No need to explain further looking for alternatives. Fix the problem you know about and if it persists, then make another post. Good luck. AFM's are fairly easy to come by.
