SO we found the turbo to be the smoking problem.. i got a stock ct turbo and took mine off. i found the white residue on the manifold and down pipe. i put the stock ct on and the car stopped smoking. However, i think this stock ct is also on its way out. after i got home from the meet i noticed alittle smoke coming out after i sat and let it run for a min. :(

It could be… Did it come with a flange also? Usually the flange that came with it is restricted so it did not matter what size the in feed line you have.

It's still smoking. Are you certain this turbo is screwed too? Odd coincendence.

As for the old turbo, was the drain in good shape, and unrestricted?

Also you said the exhaust manifold had white residue in it? Did the intercooler pipes have oil in them as well? Or else how did the oil get into the exhuast manifold?

Have anyone of you guys ever replace a bad seals or just disassembled a turbine housing/compressor and remove the shaft? I'm just puzzled with some of the question.

it was deffinitly the turbo that went bad. i took it apart and the rear seal was toast and leaking oil bad. The smoking that is happening now is very seldom and very little smoke. The ct i put on needs rebuilt as well so thats why. getting a T70 this next week!!
