well i noticed that after i replaced my head gasket, the car is harder to start for some reason, but fires right up, takes about 4 seconds to crank in which before HG replacement it used to be at least 2 and a half seconds

no re-torque yet, just curious as to why it takes longer to start the car after the head gasket replacement

If you didn't re-torque then it may not be sealed. Suppose to re-torque after about 5-8 heat cycles. Low compression may cause the harder starting. What did you torque the head too?

Did you check/replace the vac hoses?
